OPRF Wins Conference & Advances Four to
State! The 2007-2008 Huskies had another excellent season.
The Huskies finished with a dual record of
17-2. In conference, OPRF
went a perfect 6-0. OPRF last won the conference title in 2004-2005. Excluding the postseason, the Huskies also
participated in four tournaments. In these tournaments, OPRF won a
combined eight individual titles. In the regional tournament, OPRF
placed 2nd to Leyden. Since only the regional champion advances to
the dual team tournament, OPRF's dual meet season was over. However,
OPRF advanced 8 wrestlers to sectionals and 4 wrestlers to state. At
state, junior Ellis Coleman (125 lbs.) placed 3rd.
